The Honorable Lucy Adame-Clark, Bexar County Clerk, is pleased to provide our customers with this website to search index books and view historic Commissioners Court Minutes (CCM) document records.
The purpose of this website is to better serve you, our customers, by using internet based technology and support.
This website is designed to provide you with 24-hour internet based remote access to our records as an alternative to in-person courthouse access.
The Commissioner Court Minute Records, referenced in these historic index books, range from 1837-1965. In the following example, the Search Index Books tools are utilized to locate an 1841 Commissioners’ Court meeting in which the County Clerk presented a list of filed deeds.
To perform a search, use the drop-down box filters in the “Search Index Books” box (see top left of the screen).
▸ To start, select the year range of “1837 to 1891” in the first drop-down.
▸ Next, select the “Alpha” character "C" to build the list of applicable categories.
▸ Next, select “County Clerk” from the “Category” drop-down box.
▸ Finally, click on the “SEARCH” button, and QuickLink® presents the index pages corresponding to the search.
▸ To view the meeting, look at the eighth (8th) line on the index--which indicates the County Clerk “PRESENTS LIST OF DEEDS FILED” is recorded in Book “1-A”, Page “32”.
▸ Click on this index line item to view the corresponding record book page.
